Traditional Cakes Gallery

Below are pictures of our very popular "Traditional Cakes".  These cakes come with a standard decoration and are presented as shown in the pictures.  All cakes are three layers (except Boston Cream and Chocolate Peanut Butter.   We invite you to use our Design-a-Cake tool to send us your cake order.

Vanilla Cream

This soft yellow cake is layered with smooth, vanilla pastry cream to create a custard-type filling that is hard to refuse. The simply divine cake is iced with vanilla buttercream and finished with buttercream shells and white chocolate shavings.

 

Lemon Raspberry

This fruity cake is made with moist yellow cake layers, tangy lemon curd and seedless raspberry filling; the cake is topped off with old-fashioned vanilla buttercream icing and more raspberry preserves.

 

Strawberry Shortcake

Just like the summertime favorite, this cake is made of light yellow cake with alternating layers of whipped cream and strawberry preserves.  Iced in our Swiss Meringue buttercream and topped with more  preserves and white chocolate shavings.

 

Sour Cream Coconut

Rich sour cream coconut filling soaks layers of moist yellow cake with goodness; the cake is covered in light meringue buttercream and pure angel-flaked coconut. The decorative rosettes on each slice are topped off with toasted coconut.


 

Carrot Pecan Cake

A traditional combination of carrot cake with pecans and cream Cheese icing makes this cake a favorite; burnt orange carrots dance across the top, and perfectly-picked pecan pieces surround the sides.

 

Chocolate Cream

Velvety chocolate pastry cream is placed between layers of light yellow cake and iced with either our ultra-smooth chocolate or vanilla buttercream. Topped with chocolate or vanilla buttercream shells and chocolate shavings. YUM!


 

Chocolate Espresso

Rich chocolate devils food cake layers are filled with ganache and Kona coffee cream; the cake is iced in mocha buttercream and finished with chocolate coffee beans.

 

Chocolate Raspberry

We fill rich chocolate devils food cake layers with ganache and seedless raspberry preserves; the cake is topped with more ganache and swirls of raspberry.


 

Chocolate Velvet

This cake is the same combination as a traditional Red velvet cake without the Red food coloring. We fill & ice soft chocolate cake layers in decadent Cream Cheese frosting.

 

Chocolate Chocolate Cream

A little more chocolaty than our Chocolate Cake and not as fudgy as our Chocolate Truffle Cake, this combination is a perfect blend:   Devils food cake layers with chocolate pastry cream filling and your choice of vanilla or chocolate buttercream icing.  


 

Boston Cream

Buttery yellow layers with pastry cream are glazed with rich semisweet chocolate for a most decadent treat; simply elegant white chocolate curls grace the shiny, delicious result.
 

Chocolate Truffle

Old-fashioned devils food chocolate cake layers are filled and iced with rich chocolate ganache (white chocolate is covered with vanilla buttercream). Both cakes are truly decadent—just like a truffle should be!


 

White Chocolate Truffle

Old-fashioned devils food chocolate cake layers are filled and iced with rich chocolate ganache.  This cake is truly decadent, just like a truffle should be!  The White Chocolate version is the same cake iced in Vanilla Buttercream.
